Everything begins in 1948 when Giovanni Mogentale’s passion for solid wood becomes a reality in the form of a business.  From the beginning he travels to personally choose the trees to buy as the selection of raw material is at the basis of this whole craft.

Thus he starts to buy and process fine woods from European broadleaf forests where the tree is harvested and the cut is selected.

Continuous research has allowed us to choose the best areas in Europe as sources of raw materials since we monitor all stages of the manufacturing process from the outset, as each one is essential to obtain an excellent wood floor. After cutting the trunk, we bear respect to the requirements of Mother Nature, naturally ageing the wood for years, as was the case in past times. Only at the end of these stages, it is dried.

In this way the wood fiber remains smooth and stable and does not undergo rapid artificial drying processes that may alter it. One can, therefore, be certain of the stability for any format we produce.

Today, the passion combined with the knowledge of solid wood, either new or reclaimed, the craftsmanship and the experiences acquired by three generations in more than half a century of  work preserving the tradition, give rise to unique and personal achievements. This  has allowed us to gain strengths such as experience, quality, craftsmanship and creativity.
